So sorry to hear about the PPR. Here's the advice I was given when I took it: Imagine a perfect world, perfect classroom, perfect students. Then, you'll have the right answer. Its not always about what you know works, but what the State wants to work.

Hey Jenn I have an underactive thyroid which is what sounds like might be the case with you if you keep putting on weight. It normally causes being tired all the time too even though you have had enough sleep. Your thyroid is a main factor in what functions most of your organs so if its out of whack then you are too. Mainly it is solved with taking a medicine everyday to counterset that little booger. It can be challenging though to find the proper dosage. I think it took me 3/4 of a year to finally get the proper millagrams and even then it still changes as you get older. The testing is what sucks because it involves a lot of blood work...ouch...but you get used to it. This problem is a nusiance but is common and workable. Hope everything turns out ok for you!

I have a "sluggish" or underactive thyroid, I tried medicine for a long time but got result. I though that was the reason I was gaining weight as it turns out the real problem was my hormones. Ask your doctor about changing your birth control, sometimes your hormones change and a pill that worked for you before can start making you gain weight or get moody etc. I changed my birth control and lost 10lbs in 2 months and trust me it wasn't due to diet or exercise. I also became alot less moody during my period and my skin cleared up. GOODLUCK!

I agree with Kim, you have to take that test as if you were in a 'perfect' classroom. I hope and pray that you hear good news from the doctor!

Hey girl, Sorry to here about the PPR. It's really common for people to not pass it the first time. You'll know more what to expect the next time!

I've known a lot of people who gained weight due to a thyroid problem. I hope that the fix is simple and you can get your body back on track. Good Luck!
