Thursday Thoughts!

* Am I crazy for taking SO many hours this semester... Am I going to be able to pull all A's as usual?
*Seems as though a lot of my girlfriends are in need of prayer more than normal right now, I think I should bring my Bible to Dallas with me for the weekend!
*How cute is this hanger to hang your wedding dress on for pics the day of...

* As much as I LOVE summer and being outside in the water and sun, I'm ready for cooler weather and comfy hoodies!
*The tailgate shower is getting closer and I'm so excited, I think I have everything I've been planning...
*Along with taking TONS of school hours this semester, I only have 2 weekends in the planner that have nothing written on them.......
*Does this dress work for November wedding, I'm in the House Party and the colors are Navy and Teal.. Is this dress ok? Lindsey, I expect you to respond to this post! ha.. Ok So I can't get the pics down here, but its a pic of the back, the detail, and the front!
*I'm really really excited to head to Dallas today, as we drive in were meeting another couple, Katie and Matt for dinner @ their fav Mexican restaurant and then heading on to the Jones house for the weekend!
*I don't know what I would do at school without my "school girls"
*I have a list of things to do today before we leave at noon, so I should go!

Until Sunday,
have a blessed weekend ladies!

Sunday Praise

At church this past Sunday the Pastor is continue with his series about "Facebook." When I heard that is what it was going to be about, I was very curious. This weeks service was called "Who's on your Friends List?
He started of telling stories and talking about the Quiz's and other fun stuff on fb.

Genesis 2:18 (New International Version)

The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

The main point of the service was how easy it is to be friends with someone on facebook compared to real life. Friendships take a lot of work and effort. As to where on Facebook when someone wants to be your friend you just "Confirm" or "Ignore"

As we've learned in life friends are not easy to deal with. This is why we need to keep all our friends in our prayers daily.

Genesis 1:1-3 (New International Version)

Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was a]">[a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

He then defined friendship: 2 people who demonstrate an irrational commitment to each other's well being. Do you agree?

Colossians 3:12-16 (New International Version)

12Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

So would you agree there is a difference in FB friends and personal friendship?

Being in a "Community" on fb is easy, being a true friend is hard.

So I am going to challenge you today or if you read this tomorrow, Find a friend, do something irrational out of love for that friend!

I wish I had better notes on this to share, but I was so into it I didn't want to look away to write. But I hope you get the point of what I am trying to get across and what Pastor Marty wanted us to realize.

Have a Blessed Week

Can you say... BUSY!

I haven't blogged since I got back from Vegas nor right before I went. So I missed out on my first "Thursday Thoughts" and on my "Sunday Worship." Vegas will have to wait till another post....
So due to UH's wonderful system and not having an advisor at the Sugar Land campus until now, I have now discovered that I have 6 additional classes I was not aware of left to take. So after lot of thinking and praying I have decided to take 24 hours this semester. YES I am CRAZY! NO I will NOT have a life for the next 3 months. Its the 3rd day and I am already stressed!
I want all my dear friends to know I still LOVE you just as much but you won't hear from me as much for a couple months, but boy you better be ready cause come the Holidays I am gonna be SO ready to have some Christmas festivities and spend time with those I love! On another note, Brian is starting his first day of Technical school next Monday, he is going to Wharton and doing a program through TSTC (Texas State Technical School) which is the best in Texas! So please keep him in your prayers as this is what he should of done from the start.. But hey everyone has a planned laid out for them! That's it for now! I'm gonna make up for my Sunday blog now......

Oh ya AND were headed to Dallas this weekend to see one of our FAVORITE families, THE JONES!! !Were so so excited, counting down till Friday... LOTS of pics to come when we return from there!

New traditions...

After glancing at some other ladies blogs I got a few ideas of things I want to start doing. I came up with some of my own off of their ideas. On Sunday's I want to start posting something about Praising and worship since Sunday is God's day, although I feel everyday is God's day but that's what some people say. Also on Thursdays I want to start doing "Thursday Thoughts" every Thursday. I'm excited about these 2 things as I hope it makes me blog more often :)
So here is today's first..
One of my favorite Christian songs I hear on 89.3 is by Chris Tomlin, If you listen to Christian music, I am sure you have heard this song.
With all that has been going through my mind lately and decisions I've had to make I just can't help but to think "How Great is Our God" please watch the video and really listen to the words

Makeover... In more ways than one!

As you can see my blog got a complete makeover, thanks to the assistance of my sweet friend Danielle. I got a new layout, new signature, and I also added some new gadgets on the side! Let me know what you think!
Another makeover I've done is for myself, not as far as being pampered makeover but just getting myself out of some ruts I've been in for the past month or so. I'm ready to start a new Chapter/time/week/month whatever in my life! I would like to think 2 of my best friends Megan and Rebekah for listening to me and talking and giving their honest opinions and advice. I feel like a new person, and it's great!
Once I finished summer school August 5th I have been non stop and have a lot of pictures to show for it.. I'll post a few (haha!

One weekend at the river we did a HUGE fish fry, and it was oh so yummy! Thanks Megan, Brian, and Bernie for help in the kitchen!

Bekah, Me, and Monica waiting to go into the Astros game to celebrate Bekah's 25th Birthday! What a LONGG day this was which included, Pappasitos, Bekahs apt, Sherlocks, and Wild West!

Last weekend I went with 3 of my best friends to George Strait. Not in the picture is my dear friend Ashley that I have been friends with for 15 years and then in the picture is my mom and Brian of course! We had oh so much fun! Danced and sang our little hearts out!

Well I made the comment to our good friend Morty that I wanted to "Go out every night this week" after being under so much pressure from summer school. WHOA did I say that to the wrong person, I made it out 4 nights this week and boy and I'm worn out! This is the 2nd night @ Sherlocks with Rachael where we played hours of darts before heading to Loggia to meet up with Lindsey!

Next night followed with Baker St in Katy for Mark's 25th Birthday

Followed with last night with LOTS of friends at Baker St. and Loggia, but I did not take many pictures.... OOPS! Whats wrong with me? ha!

I have more to post but that's enough for one post so until tomorrow, have a Blessed day Ladies!
