Getting to know Jenn this Holiday Season

I saw this over on Katie's blog and thought it was another cute way for my fellow bloggers to get to know me...
Let me start off by saying I still live with my parents, so some of these answers will be my future intentions!

1
. Wrapping paper or gift bags? - Both, I'm terrible at gift wrapping, (I'll go ahead and admit my mom wrapped your gifts Megan and Danielle, ha)

2. Real tree or artificial? - Artificial.. I've never gone and picked out a tree. That's one thing I look forward to Brian and I sharing together when we get our own place

3. When do you put up the tree? - The weekend after Thanksgiving

4. Do you like eggnog? -Not one bit!

5. Favorite gift received as a child? - Everything! Prob my Keyboard..

6. Do you have a nativity scene? - My mom does, yes.. I collect Willow Tree Angel's and am dying to have the Willow Tree Nativity Scene (hoping the boyfriends mom starts that collection for me this year, cross your fingers ;))

7. Hardest person to buy for? - Dad, he doesn't want anything.. Doesn't "need" anything

8. Easiest person to buy for?
- Brian- We are not supposed to be doing Christmas this year since we are going on the cruise in Jan.. and he already has 8 presents under the tree, I could buy something for that kid everyday! ha!

9. Mail or email Christmas cards? - MAIL for sure!!! I LOVE receiving them in the mail, I look forward to checking the mail the whole month of December, other month's I let my parents get it, ha!

10. Favorite Christmas movie?
- Elf!

"Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"

11. When do you start shopping for Christmas? - after Thanksgiving but never on Black Friday. I do not mind Cyber Monday though. I was officially done with my family, friends, and Brian's families last week!

12. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? - Sweets!

13. Clear lights or colored lights on the tree? -Clear... The ornaments are enough color in my opinion, for my own tree!

14. Favorite Christmas song?- All I want for Christmas is YOU!

15. Travel or stay home at Christmas? - Stay home, well kinda travel but just 30 mins to my Auntie Cousin Joy's house... And we also go to Brian's mom's and dad's houses on Christmas

16. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? - Yes! Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen, Comet, and Cupid, and Donner, and Blitzen; but do you recall, the most wonderful reindeer of all... Rudolph!

17. Angel on tree top or star? - A cross on mom's.. Mine will be a Rustic Star to match my "Texas Western Themed Tree"

18. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? - Growing up it was always parents presents Eve night and Santa Christmas morning, now mainly all at night and just stockings in the AM

19. The most annoying thing about this time of year?
- The worry of making sure that you get presents for everyone that you need to and hoping that they like what you got them! DITTO Katie!

20. What I love most about Christmas -Christmas Eve service, Christmas morning with my family, The music, Christmas pj's (new tradition starting this year, so excited) and the smell in the air and the joy on people's faces and hearing the word Christ

I would like to share a few traditions my family is picking up this year
* I am getting a Birthday cake made for Christmas day to celebrate Jesus's Birthday!

*I always dress up to open presents, not anymore!!! Buying my first set of Christmas pj's!

*I'm teaching bible study this year, and we are following the same guidelines I am doing with the kids, every Sunday lighting another Advent candle.

Many post before then but I hope everyone has a Blessed Christmas

I forgot to mention that I collect Willow Tree Figurines too!!! I have an angel from my mom that got me started with them. Then the hubby and I got one for our 5 year anniversary and I guess my interest and love for them peaked after that!! LOVE all of them. When I have kids I want all those and the pregnant ones too ;)
