Asking My Bridesmaids

Of course I wanted to do something "creative" and "different" to ask my Bridesmaids to be a special part of my day! I have seen people give cards or cookies or just plain ask them will you be my bridesmaids. Since I take pictures EVERYWHERE I go, I knew I had plenty to make something for each girl using pictures of the 2 of us. So I went through all my pics saved on my computer and found all the pics, wrote a poem for each girl, and made the books on Vista print.

Fact Napkins

I want to have these fun conversation napkins for the bar area at the wedding.. Its Fun Facts about the couple. I'm thinking of doing 5 different facts!
I need help, suggestions of questions/facts I can put on the napkins!!!

Here's a few I was thinking...
* We have our own language, everything ends in Y. We never have to ask each other to repeat what was said, we completely understand each other!

*Anytime we see a kid out in public we both start making faces and talking to the little one... that's how we met our Ring Boys!

*She holds the high score for Pac-Man on many machines, he holds the high score for Skee ball!

*He knows every word to every song, she thinks she knows and tries to sing along..

*Their both kids at heart and wanna remain that way for many years to come!

*And then something about us both wakeboarding and fishing....

Tin Flower Girl Basket

This is the look I'm going for: (dont know why this is underlined..)

I have talked to the Bride, she got the tin pail at Garden Ridge, it was brown and she painted it silver and had her florist spice it up!

I'm on a mission...
Here is what I have found so far, all of these would be painted the tin solver color

I would have to get some kind of wire to make a starp/ hang thing...

The welcome sign is a sticker that can be peeled off and then painted like top pic..

Mom said the point at the bottom is too dangerous


I'm going for a "rustic Texas" look...
I may have to look on, hopefully with spring and summer coming up I can find something. I've looked all over online.. No luck!

Thanks Ladies!!

Thank You's

This post is LONG over due! I am not one to go without a "Thank You" I send people Thank You cards for doing the littlest things such as calling and having a nice convo with me! Much less when people give me something or go out of their way for me, they def get a big Thank You. Since we got engaged I've had so many people give me and do sweet things and now's my time to say thanks, besides the Thank You card they already have on their way!'

First I need to think my buffer aka bffe for hosting my Suprise Bridal Brunch the day after I got back from the cruise along with the stacksss of mags she gave me and a sweet sweet card!

Another Thank You I owe is to my big sis (not by blood, just by love) She took me to a wonderful dinner at Benjy's we had a nice long talk and killed a bottle of wine (mainly her, ha jk)

She had this nice little stack below waiting for me when I got to her house! Gotta LOVE The Knot!

She was so sweet to DIG through ALL her invitations and paper goods to find some good ones for me to take home, don't worry she WILL be getting them back!

Another sweet friend named Lindsey aka Jan brought me a gorgeous wedding coffee table book for me to get some great ideas from, I have not finished looking yet but I'm really looking forward to it!
She wrote me a sweetttt message on the inside, can't wait to plan hers one day....

My bestie and I celebrate by going to Jap's for dinner and getting some yummy Swirll after! Thanks for letting me talk about my Wedding the WHOLE time Bekah!!

I wanna Thank my future mother in law for already putting up with all my emails and bringing me these gorgeous roses and sweet card to the brunch on Sunday

Thanks to Matt (Brian's Bro) Jj (Megan's Hubby) and Bekah for the bottles of champagne Friday night to our toast! Also thanks to Mark for making the toast!



I owe another Thanks to my buffer! I called and woke her up early Sunday morning to meet me for breakfast @ La Madeline then we headed over to Swoozies for a little local vendor show and got some great ideas! Thanks for putting up with me Megan!

I did not plan on doing a Candy Buffet (even thought Mom wanted to..) till I saw this ladies set up on Sunday and I fell in love! That deserves its own post, so more to come...

And Last BUT NOT LEAST... My mother! She has already been amazing, we've have already been running errands like mad women, shes dug high and low in stores for me, all in all she has just already put up with me being a Bride, if ya know what I mean!

I have SO many posts in my head I wanna do just have to find the time to sit down and do them!
I'm real real excited about a particular one that I can not post yet, hoping I can do that tomorrow night after I'm finished doing what the post is about............

I hope I am not forgetting anything, If I did I'm so sorry.. With starting school, planning a wedding, still putting away Christmas stuff, planning a bach party, planning a bridal shower, working out, and breathing... I've never had SO much on my mind as I have this past week!

I'm dying to wear PURPLE shoes!!! I think it is so cute and makes for great pics!

I am only wearing heels for the ceremony and pics after, then I will be changing into Cowgirl boots. yes I'm from Texas and proud of it!

I want them to have purple on them, I have 2 rodeo seasons before my wedding, I'm bound to find a pair! Something like this..

Not sure if I'm a HUGE fan of these although Ariat's are the BEST boots you can get!

Fairytals Do Come True

This couldn't be more true in my situation. I have been "following, stalking, obsessing" ha, over this location for my future wedding for 3 years (since they opened). Those of you not from Texas might think I'm a hick or a Cowgirl but its a very classy Texas Rustic Venue and boy is that right up mine and Brian's alley! That is theme for our future house, Christmas tree, etc...

So this place books up FAST and I'm shooting for May 21 2011 (that being a busy wedding month) so even though we have a long time :( in order for my dream to come true mom and I went to this venue on Wed. I was in Heaven the whole time we were there. We stayed an hour and a half, yes I asked every question under the sun! When we left I was real quite, had a lot of thoughts running through my mind.. The minute I got home I got on the Knot and started looking at other venues, knowing my dream location was not gonna work out due to cost... Dad gets home, sit down in the kitchen with all the papers, calculators, pens, ideal guest list.... And he tells me to do it, do what dad? Book your wedding there, WHAT I scream, but they don't open the books till 14 months out. Well can t hey pencil you in and then we'll put a deposit down in 2 months!!! Lots of tears were shed, friends cried with me, friends screamed with me, I'm crying now... I am so blessed and thankful that I will be able to have my wedding at Briscoe Manor!!! They will be many more post about my venue but just wanted to share a few pics I got while I was there, wait a minute a few, who am I kidding I tok 25+ but I'll share a few.. Don't wanna ruin anything for my friends that read this ;)

Fishing Cake Topper- Not for MY cake

My fiance (sorry I just had to say it) is a die hard fisherman.. He wants a cake of a fish for the wedding, imagine that.. I want to decorate around it (surprise him) with pics of him fishing and a little cake topper hanging off the table of the end of the cake stand.. I need opinions on which one, I know they are both kinda tacky, but that's ok... I want it! ha!

So top or bottom one? They both kinda fit.. Cause my parents tease me all the time about "how he loves me, but he loves to fish"
