Fairytals Do Come True

This couldn't be more true in my situation. I have been "following, stalking, obsessing" ha, over this location for my future wedding for 3 years (since they opened). Those of you not from Texas might think I'm a hick or a Cowgirl but its a very classy Texas Rustic Venue and boy is that right up mine and Brian's alley! That is theme for our future house, Christmas tree, etc...

So this place books up FAST and I'm shooting for May 21 2011 (that being a busy wedding month) so even though we have a long time :( in order for my dream to come true mom and I went to this venue on Wed. I was in Heaven the whole time we were there. We stayed an hour and a half, yes I asked every question under the sun! When we left I was real quite, had a lot of thoughts running through my mind.. The minute I got home I got on the Knot and started looking at other venues, knowing my dream location was not gonna work out due to cost... Dad gets home, sit down in the kitchen with all the papers, calculators, pens, ideal guest list.... And he tells me to do it, do what dad? Book your wedding there, WHAT I scream, but they don't open the books till 14 months out. Well can t hey pencil you in and then we'll put a deposit down in 2 months!!! Lots of tears were shed, friends cried with me, friends screamed with me, I'm crying now... I am so blessed and thankful that I will be able to have my wedding at Briscoe Manor!!! They will be many more post about my venue but just wanted to share a few pics I got while I was there, wait a minute a few, who am I kidding I tok 25+ but I'll share a few.. Don't wanna ruin anything for my friends that read this ;)

Fishing Cake Topper- Not for MY cake

My fiance (sorry I just had to say it) is a die hard fisherman.. He wants a cake of a fish for the wedding, imagine that.. I want to decorate around it (surprise him) with pics of him fishing and a little cake topper hanging off the table of the end of the cake stand.. I need opinions on which one, I know they are both kinda tacky, but that's ok... I want it! ha!

So top or bottom one? They both kinda fit.. Cause my parents tease me all the time about "how he loves me, but he loves to fish"

The Proposal

Basically my proposal can be told in pictures.. So here it goes with a little details included!

Sitting in the room before heading to take pics with the photographer... My mom calls this my last un engaged pic, she's silly! She took it by the way, knowing what was about to happen....

Me smiling at the photographer and Brian trying to talk to me..... me not knowing what was going on at this point still!

And he dropped to one knee....

Me trying to put the ring on and obviously crying like a baby...

I remember all I wanted was for him to stand up, haha!

He finally stood up!!

And off we went to the Dining room for dinner! I'm so thankful for my parents being there and being in on the whole thing. I told Brian 1 thing I wanted when we got engaged was if possible to have pics of it and he did it :) what a great Fiance I have!!!

The photographer came around at dinner to take pics, of course I had to hold my hand up!!!

So there you have it ladies, my dream engagement to my dream Fiance!!

I couldn't of asked for a better proposal!

So give me some thoughts, I'm thinking of using one of the prof pics we took that night at the Save The Date so kinda our "engagement pics" but def wanna take more in several months, as I plan on loosing 60 lbs before the big day, so I'd rather wait and take our engagement pics after I loose a lot of weight!
